What Goes Around Comes Around

There are, in fact, other sites out there that are using my information, some with my permission, and at least one that does not. The information from the books themselves, the quotes, are not mine to claim. However, my pages are filled with my own personal insights and definitions using my personal and original descriptions and commentary. This information is being utilized without my permission and without regard to honesty. I had considered a Hall of Shame, but that would only bring attention to those undeserving of attention.

And so, I give my thanks…

Blessings

I cannot begin to count the thousands of hours poured over the pages one by one of each book, the number of papers I have scribbled upon, the hours without sleep to pull the information together. These pages were put together with much hard work and research in order to make the information as thorough and accurate as it can be. Resources such as the New York City Library were helpful in obtaining much of the information presented. Online resources include, but are not limited to:

  • American Heritage College Dictionary, Third Edition ©2001
  • American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language: Fourth Edition ©2000
  • Columbia Encyclopedia, Sixth Edition, ©2004
  • Encyclopaedia Britannica ©2004-2006
  • Merriam-Webster Dictionary ©2004-2006

I do not utilize materials from Wikipedia, as sources often are not reliable in the making of said online encyclopedia. While it's a worthy tool to start with, this encyclopedia is not put together by scholars, as is that of Encyclopaedia Britannica, et al. The general public can make contributions to the encyclopedia with their own "facts" and therefore, MoonProductions.com does not recognize Wikipedia as a reliable source.

Any similarity between these pages and those pages of other Gorean sites is purely coincidental. This is a Gorean theme site and therefore there are going to be commonalities. I spent thousands upon thousands of hours pouring over the books to garner simply the facts, the whos, the hows, the wheres, the whats, and the whys.

I would also like to give thanks to the University of California for providing me with an excellent education to achieve my degree.

I would also like to give thanks to my collection of training manuals on things such as HTML, CSS, PHP, XML and JAVA. I would also like to give thanks to my computer and its vast array of programs, on which I spent countless hours of dedication in self-teaching and learning computer language skills as well as programs such as Quark, Adobe Photoshop, Paintshop Pro, Adobe Acrobat, Corel, Powerpoint, Word Perfect, MS Word, Excel, Access, et al.

Also, many thanks to the makers of Alleve, assorted colors of Bic pens, yellow, pink, blue, orange and green hi-liters, and the many trees who surrendered their lives to make all this come to fruition.

I would also like to thank my family and friends, both real time and online, my spouse and best friend, my children and my Mom.

And last, but absolutely not least, I give thanks to God.

Special Note

Because of the differences in publishing the books, depending upon whether published in the U.S. or Europe, depending upon whether a first publishing or a Masquerade Books release, page numbers will often vary. All of my quotes are from original, first-printing U.S. publications (see The Books page for a listing of publishers and dates) with the exception of the following books:

  • Tarnsman of Gor (2nd Printing, Balantine)
  • Outlaw of Gor (11th Printing, Balantine)
  • Priest-Kings of Gor (2nd Printing, Balantine)
  • Assassin of Gor (10th Printing, Balantine)
  • Raiders of Gor (15th Printing, Balantine)
  • Captive of Gor (3rd Printing, Balantine)

Disclaimer

These pages are not written for any specific home, but rather as informational pages for those not able to get ahold of the books and read them yourself. Opinions and commentaries are strictly my own personal views, therefore, if you don't like what you are reading — then don't. The information in these pages is realistic to what is found within the books. Many sites have added information, assuming the existences of certain products and practices, such as willowbark and agrimony for healing, and travel to earth and back for the collection of goods. I've explored the books, the flora, the fauna, and the beasts, and have compiled from those mentioned, the probabilities of certain practices, and what vegetation mentioned in the books is suitable for healing purposes, as well as given practicalities to other sorts of roleplaying assumptions.
