Creed is well-known for the religious themes of their songs. Higher is no exception. I myself, am anti-organized religion, but that doesn't mean I have no religious beliefs. This song is sung of no named deity, which is one reason that I particularly like this song. It's moving, emotionally and spiritually, without having a Bible, Torah, Koran, et al, thumped over one's head.
