Who is?

I Like to Sing …

… but when I do, sirens fill the air and I get cited for noise pollution.

Heh.

"Music expresses feeling and thought, without language; it was below and before speech, and it is above and beyond all words. — Robert G. Ingersoll.

Songs affect us — though some may not wish to admit it. Songs can cause us to laugh, to cry, to reminiscence an event we may have experienced, or an experience inside of ourselves.

When I listen to music, I play whatever the mood is I am feeling. Certain bands and singers seem to hit just the right emotion at the right time. However, when I've got the radio going, it's always a pleasant surprise to hear a song that is rarely heard, and so much is brought back to memory. Of course, sometimes the memories stirred aren't pleasant; some are haunting, terse, melancholic …

Here are really, just a few songs that have hit me at one time or another, or hold some special meaning to me. I have many more to add, and I will, as time moves on.

  *FAVORITE QUOTE
"I have my own particular sorrows, loves, delights; and you have yours. But sorrow, gladness, yearning, hope, love, belong to all of us, in all times and in all places. Music is the only means whereby we feel these emotions in their universality." — H.A. Overstreet *
